a stark landscape beyond the plains lies a mountain range snow peaked majestic meadows along a brook horses run free and the clouds paint pictures in your eyes
a painted desert sandy arid land the living survive the desert flowers bloom the wind carries dreams the colors swirl in your eyes
a horses tears smelling our fears fall like rain drops they run like rivers washing away unto the sea an azure sky a storm consumes us time shows no mercy thunder rumbles the lightning bolts paint pictures in your eyes
MY eyes mist, reading your beautiful words. What a vivid and

I like that you didn't repeat the line in all three stanzas, as it makes it more powerful when again repeated in the third. LOVED this.

Dale, this is an extremely well-crafted composition, which fills one with needed serenity and excitement all within the same moment of time. It’s one of the main reasons why I continue to enjoy visiting your remarkable Den. I do yearn for the day to travel back to great State of Colorado and relax in the majestic of the beautiful countryside out there. If you ever get a chance to visit Denver, check out the “Parliament Apartments” they’re near Cherry Creek Reservoir. I helped design and build that complex in the mid-eighties when I lived there, and then moved out to Nevada afterwards. Thank you for sharing this stunning piece. Take good care and be well.
I can feel a thunderstorm building from the mood created in this poem. The clouds roll in on the rhythm and carry us into the storm, where the pictures painted change with the landscape. Just as the colors of our lives do. Vivid and stirring imagery, Dale!
