Earth Turning

We lie upon a grassy slope
on green meadow
watching the stars

She says “Do you feel
the earth turning?”

I contemplate
the stars drifting west
and feel motion
in my being

We become one
with the roots of earth
We breathe as trees
and plants

She says “Listen to the
creatures stirring.”

We become wild ones
running with the wind

We feel earths turning
and an approaching sun
It rises along the horizon

We lie sleeping
upon the grassy slope
We hear water rushing
in a nearby stream

It’s in our dreams
it washes away our pain

She says “Do you hear my
heart beating?”

I contemplate
the sun drifting west
and I feel motion
in my being

We become as one
in our passion
We are connected
in eternal bliss

Our orbit is love
one with the earth
the stars, the heavens

We become a living creation
