Whispers of the Breeze

A quiet breeze suspends time
into animated scenes of love

A silent moon lures lovers
their hearts beat softly

The only sound heard
is the lovers in embrace
amidst a falling summer
as nature speaks

The trees rustle, leaves fall
words of poets float down
whispering of the breeze

The night goes tumbling
time is beyond love

A quiet breeze softly whispers
and carries summer away

Dale,

I agree with Gwen, there is a sacredness to your words...much of your work as of late. Your muse has been whipering beautiful secrets to you!

An enjoyable poem with a light, ethereal feel to it. I like the concept of poets' words "floating down" like the leaves as the summer ends...

Hmmm... well, this is the kind of Fall I think I could get into, Dale! Soft, sensual and "going with the flow", all done with the delicacy of your scant breath of words. This is classy, and conveys a rich and mutual feeling that will endure all the seasons, I think. Quite beautiful. TY Kate xx

I'm suspended, lost in the beauty of this poem. "...lovers in embrace amidst a falling summer...", love that line. Motion here, but its as soft as sheer voile pulled across a window. Quietly beautiful, stirring the heart, Dale. Lin
