Castaways

Some don’t belong in this world
They are creative and tormented
These artists, musicians and poets
They wink at the night
and whisper sweet nothings
They love too much

The muse comes along
She reveals all to them
The secrets of love, its sorrow and pain
its joy and pleasure

They don’t understand logic
these souls only know the beauty

Where will they go? What do they do?

The moon is shining upon them
The sun is warmth to their hearts

The tormented souls have been hurt
They fear losing their heart
Shadows hide the truth
Dreams reveal the secrets of beauty
They color this world with harmony
and sing a song of love

Their rapture is such glory
yet the colors tumble, the words fall
The musicians play out of key
The dancers stumble and weep

Some don’t belong in this world

Kate-Thanks and BTW what's that French mean, lol
cause I'm a little lost with that. ;) But I do
think it's a beautiful language, wish I could
speak it.

So SPOT ON... yet I could never have put this altogether in a million years, Dale! You paint the most accurate and inspirational picture that has all the fine detail and yet such a large and generous canvas, as well. It is true "still life" and yet impressionistic, too. Fascinating. Your very vivid eye for detail must be just so acute. Fantastic lines: "They love too much"; "these souls only know beauty"; "They color this world with harmony" and YET, yes, your final stanza just GETS it! It's like the creators and innovators are trying to align all the "magic" numbers into the right combination to undo some mystical universal lock or crack the code. This poem has a certain je ne said quoi, Dale that leaves me... je ne sais quoi! :)) LOL TY Kate xx

Dale this is true, but remember we do have a new world on the way, that's what my poem Song of Eternity is about;-) Keep the faith and you will see a world where poets can live in splendor!;-)

Eileen

Say Something Terrorible v3 by RickthePoetWarrior

My mom says ‘If you can’t say anything nice then don’t say anything’. Sorry mom but under the guise of poetic license I penned these beauties.
