Shytown
The streets are empty
quietly the confidences shout
Night falls as inhibitions grow
courage imbibed in corner bars
wall flowers grow as the music quickens
in Shytown
Suddenly people appear screaming
yet the streets are silent
They hide in corners of their dreams
Long shadows of the darkest night
lurking to find the meek
as dancers become bold and brave
These lonesome souls
plodding in the dark
The stars vibrate, winking faintly
fiery skies in their minds
Dreams are their sanctuaries
in Shytown
