Pillar of Salt

she comes to me
untarnished
lacking nothing
when she turned away
looking back
she is a pillar of salt
nothing could be said

she comes to me
totally unread
poets marvel
at the spectacle
lacking nothing
emoting everything
humanity evolves
into a fiery ball
it revolts the spheres

she comes to me
universally free
lacking nothing
linear in motion
infinity prolonged
time has no bounds
the sun is a circle
only the light
brightens the abyss
she is a pillar of salt

waves of sand wash over me
leaving poets to debate
don’t look back?

A cryptic gem Dale...the mystery of how looking back has such an effect and does it last an infinity....you give us a puzzle to ponder...

Eileen

Oooo... this has that je ne sais quoi, Dale... perhaps it's ME that je ne sais pas??!! But the mystery is intense and puts me in mind of those who travel the linear path, forging ahead without looking back, always moving on to bless the next person down the road... I live in a city in the West Country that has the nickname "The Graveyard of Ambition"... coming here, no-one seems to want to be anywhere else. THAT's why I feel that this anointed persona hasn't to look back... her mission is to keep moving forwards and ours is to look and wonder about such a timeless enigma... but never to regret her passing through and passing on... Makes me think of Oasis: "Today's gonna be the day that it all goes comin back to you... and all the roads we have to walk are winding... and all the ways that lead us there are blinding"... Whatever... this write is certainly leading us... somewhere musical and spiritual this evening!! :)) TY Kate xx

Reminded me of an old REM song Out of Time !..." You come to me with a bone in your hand
You come to me with your hair curled tight
You come to me with positions
You come to me with excuses
Ducked out in a row
You wear me out "
