Hopefully this is only musing, an illusive dream turned nightmare.

The Death of Color

Is such a thing possible? I contemplate,
this is just a beginning and not an ending,
it can change and like all things, there are
endings and beginnings, the circle we call life
////////////////////////////

Nuclear Blast

The fluorescent blue green light of the towers
reflect the inner sanctum of our society
after a nuclear holocaust
Our world is now enclosed inside glass towers
Mother earth is unknown to the children
without fathers or mothers
They are the future and the past mixed
without any sense of the beauty of nature
only the museums show the artistic view of earth
Its colors fading into the fluorescent light

Like the dance of nature in its struggle for life
A false night has fallen upon us

The sadness of the beauty lost
could only be felt by the master artists
Their star and moon light are tainted
by the loss of their sight
Light pollution has turned the childrens’ minds
The dark night is over and rebirth shall begin
Only now the test tubes are fertile
the sun shine, like flashes in a dream
The thunder storms of loss
are inside our unconscious thought

Like the colors of the day
They have faded and are bleeding

The title alone is so compelling and so unique, Dale. Totally knockout as a whole, but, for me, the final stanzas say it all and could possibly stand alone ... actually, could start with "A false night has fallen upon us..." Sorry, how rude of me to interfere, but my enthusiasm for strength and punch gets a bit carried away sometimes. Gripping and visual... cinematic in my book, then, as per u!! :)) Reminds me of the old Ralph McTell song "Colours of day dawn into the night... So light up the fire and let the flame burn"... Aaah!! That's it!! Back with the horses and campfires again, that's the connection!! :)) LOL Kate xx

I also hope this is just an illusive dream turned nightmare, but these days one truly has to wonder, and worry. Powerfully penned, Dale.

Oh My Dale! You have captured the essence of what it could be like, and with all the chaotic events of our times it seems to loom somewhere out there like another orb in the sky waiting to be unleashed. Superb writing , you have me chilled;-)!
