Birth and death are total mysteries, aren't they... we can usually not recall the one, or life before it - though undoubtedly we experienced it - and we can have no idea of the other: it is a process all flesh has to endure, whatever lies for the spirit beyond. The most satisfying scenario is that, when it comes our time, we will be at peace with it and ready to leave... in an ideal world, which is what is was, happily, for my Mum. Her body had just had enough and she wanted to go!! But precipitate and untimely death is another issue, and guess that is the bogeyman that we have constantly to be aware of and know how personallly we can deal with that possibility. No one gets out alive, and how we each make our own unique exit will be personal to us. Harrowing write, Dale, but a necessary one for the issues it highlights. Reminds me of one of my favourite Happy Bunnies, Ryan Adams... You just "Keep Your Eyes On The Road And Your Hands Upon The Wheel", Baby!! Enjoy it while you've got it!
