Passage of the Universe
These spaces of life
that time defines
through the portals
are the memories
When I was young
a child
Some memories are lost
but not forgotten
they’re in the time portal
of my life
Youth came quickly
love at first glance
My heart contained me
time moving ever forward
emotional angst
These passages are universal
I fill my time with trivial pursuit
I didn’t realize how quickly we age
now only memories remain
lost loves and children that are grown
These are the spaces
of the passage of the universe
The last portal contained the unknown
no memories, no remembrances
Myth time, we wander
looking for the light
when found leads one to heaven
The core of the universe
Crossing over unto death
one needn’t be afraid
for good spirits are led by angels
The elders whisper their secrets
and the light is bright and wise
So goes the Passage of the Universe
