falling, tumbling
with a creative force
Artists must rejoice
it’s been whispered
screamed into the wind
it's seen in visions
it's heard, sounds of life
Poets must tell the mysterys
Words are the tools
to paint a picture, tell a story
These words blown into shape
for those who listen
Imagine shutting off the sun
and time sitting still
Imagine the written word
as a new world
without hate, without war
without pain or suffering
for those who listen
The power of love is for all
for life's sake
Imagine a poet creating
words of beauty
Imagine a painter
spreading his colors
with brushes and oils
Imagine a musician
using their instrument
for notes and melodies
Artists tumble like fate
Listen to the beauty

Hi Dale. I've got a rock near a fountain in my home that says "imagine." It is one of my favorite things to do and often lies at the heart of what I create with words and images. great poem. Dawn
