Dark Sails

the wind can't blow the dark
like the other side of the moon
when she's full
the sails fill

no rain, no wind
not a sound, only whispers
of faint midnight breezes
dark sail is furled

once she's bright and full
the dark sails
with many mysteries
like the other side of the sun
he's full of light

if only light would blow
silent and chilled
waves escape this dark

the sea is still
the sails furl
the dark sail is holding

holding the light
on the other side
so bright
the breeze knows
it hears the cries

the sea slaps the shore
coming alive
she fools this darkness

dark sail is dancing
waiting for the light
hearing whispers of the dawn
viewing visions of the sky
her eyes open wide
