Surreal is The Night

Life is surreal
she said
I reply, So is death

Seems the two have a bond
one linked to the other

So we prepare
for crossing over
into the surreal

Another dimension
another world

It never used to seem like that,
she says
I say, Only in your dreams

We dream without time
it has no meaning there

Love is surreal
she replies
Yes and Why, says I

Perhaps life is a dream
and our dreams are real

Then life is surreal
she replies
I say, And love is all things

Love is the light
Surreal is the night

Time doesn't exist,
she says
I say, Yes and alone we must go

Across to the other side
where there is no day or night

Dreaming of tomorrow
Yet lonely are the hours
where only a moment counts

Will we know each other there?
Will you love me then?

I love you right now,
she says
I reply, I'll love you for an eternity

Time has no meaning
We must prepare
