Painted Desert Blues a cinnamon sage brush wafted scented bouquet blew the blues trumpeting silent shimmering southwest in hazy mid-afternoon adobe flats mesas of gold dust flew colors consume spirited landscape earth tones melting into desert hues painted overtures silent arroyos shadows gently sliding into canyon dark corners painted desert blues sounds of horse beats hooves flying furiously over blue moon falling earthward dusting taboos lightly trillions of silvery gems earthbound too slipping slightly stormy rage melancholy sprinkles stain the page dusty dunes painted symphony deafening roar intently listening petals opening in dewey dawn a canyon void hunkering down into a mirage painted desert blues (c) Dale Clark

This is great music! I don't know what your older poems are like, but I feel you've got this new "honed down harmony and rhythm" down pat - it makes me want to just quit writing "grammatical lyrics" - This is the stuff - you're onto it and INTO IT!
