life silences each and every one
in the end
we come into it naked and alone
in the beginning
where we suffer joyful sorrow
learning life lessons
seeking pleasure, finding pain
teaching us loves bitter-sweet refrain
searching for treasures
we find golden collisions
leaving lost souls by the way
we scream ever hopeful
finding faith is fleeting
we seek youthful eternity
finding age, learning wisdom
life awakens each and every one
Oh Dale, you have said a very powerful thing here. I can relate to this
poem with heartfelt emotions...Very nicely written and expressed.

Yes, and test faith we all do, well said with a message of hope and eternal bliss towards the end of the road where all the treasures collected in life then become worthless....
Love this look at faith in relation to the school of hard knocks... beautiful though it might be! Faith is such a thing... a "being certain of things hoped for and sure of things as yet unseen"... We can believe this descriptor in our heads but our hearts sure do get weighed in the scales when the visible and tangible speak often in direct contradiction to the mind's decided belief systems. But love your closing sentiments... yes indeedy... faith is not faith unless it has been tested! Nice one, Dale. TY Kate xx
Using Calgary as a backdrop the author satirizes the self-serving nature of the public as it continues to fatten itself, not only physically, but egotistically as well.
