Midnight Truths

The midnight truths are false
as the lies
which enchanted them

These rainy nights
so thunderous,
with their magic
The rain fell upon us
dry as dust,
It covered truth

These truths were confused,
wisdom that was false
blew away in the breeze
The lies bright as lightning,
electric bolts of blue
light up the night sky

These poor wandering souls
sorrowfully entreated,
The heartbroken lovers
They cry for love,
as the tears fall
upon the earth

The truth loudly screams,
as the liars shiver,
enchantments fade
These desecrated souls
know not love,
suffer greatly fools

The moon shall arise,
shining upon
lonely lovers
The sun is not false,
as the heat beats down
to evaporate the lies

The midnight truths,
The false visions
are the lies lovers hear
These broken hearts,
wandering gypsies
steal the night away

The midnight truths are false,
Illusions reveal
love that remain hidden
The lonesome hearted
know so well,
The pain deep within

The lies told to the heart
scream for release,
howling like the storm
