roadside prophets

traveling life's journeys
highwaymen and wayfarers
turn and bend along the road
theory is motion
the roadside prophets say

think, think
think about it
the road is home
on the journey for truth
where it can't be found

road, road,
riding we go
thinking many thoughts
theory is relative
the roadside prophets say

ride, ride
ride on asphalt and dirt
freeways or bust
theory is drama
the roadside prophets say

dirt, dirt
dirt is king
dust in the wind
blowing across the highway
crossroads are many

life, life
life is what it is
along the many miles
theory is theatrical
the roadside prophets say

time, time
time is static
moment after moment
truth is hidden
in plain view

ride, ride
ride hard upon the road
destination unknown
theory is bullshit
the roadside prophets say

Dale,

Great rhythm! I agree with Karla - it sounds like a song, a road song (those are the best kind).

I have travelled many roads in my lifetime, some good some bad, by car, by train, by bike and by ship and plane but the road that leads home is always the best.
