just thinking of summers of youth
how quickly it passed
then the parade on the fourth
many moons ago
the fourth of forever

postured and fitted
into some kind of empty futility
oh well, keeps us entertained
as the seasons come together
muddled and stained
just thinking of that summer of pain
many moons have passed
solitary midnight has come...

How quickly, indeed, and I often find myself gazing up at that moon thinking similar thoughts.
Be always safe,
