King's Highway' horse powered crowded pathways turned into black top freeway turns to jungles crowded interstates moving parking lots coaches and chariots 80 Miles Per Hour horse powered coach to buggy fender to fender darting in and out mustangs and chargers move into the fright lane it's a suicide run horse powered angry crossroads hot and melted asphalt incinerated highway yield to speed with a strong propensity for power of the road call it 'King's Highway' 7-28-09 D.E. Clark

Frightening "power", I imagine steel and asphalt, not really a place for human beings... Effective descriptions.

!!! think you need to come across and have a taste of our M25 London Orbital, Dale! But I love that this takes me back to my recent roadtrip in your(ish!) neck of the woods... Your highways were bliss as far as I'm concerned... the worst bit was trying to negotiate your cities without sufficient road signs... I like your interweaving of ancient and modern imagery to convey such contrasting yet merging traffic scenes. Perhaps King's Highway is an American use of irony... He be the only one who don't have cause to use it!! Arf-arf!! :)) xx
