Moon Bath

we bathed in moonlight the silver intoxicant before the earth’s shadow moved the night it’s darkness blocked out clear sight of it we closed our eyes just to imagine eternity the tide stopped a moment a heart beat paused heaven stood still a star’s the only light we basked in our embrace which felt frozen in time as the moon hid in the shadow we kissed forever only to awaken to the night the labyrinth of light the shadow passed the earth rotated tilting on it’s axis the moon waning we climaxed in ecstasy in the moon’s eclipse we bathed in the silver light only the moon could shine © 2003 CJ Clark All Rights Reserved
