Dead Poets Society"

When I was a boy I learned
the world spun round...

Why don’t we fall off?

Who is God?

What is Love?

What will I be when I
grow up?

Would I be a Poet?

I loved libraries and books
and was curious...
but couldn’t understand all
the words...

I loved poetry but didn’t
know the meaning...

Could I be a Poet?

Would I be just a fake?

Cruel the muse who speaks
falsely...

Will the truth be revealed?

I walked amongst the flowers
lined up all in a row...
I ran alongside the stones
decorating the mounds of earth...
hoping the dead poets would
speak to me...

Would I teach the children?

they asked the questions
I asked...

I guess they’ll have to wait
until I join...

Robert-Thanks I think you're right about the quotations. It was a movie Was it also a book? Anyone know? I actually thought that it wasn't all that good of a write, but
I wanted to see what kind of opinion I would get. Unexpected really! I almost didn't post it.

One cannot wait for the rest of the world to congregate. That is the very reason why these words must be spilled now for it is what must be said. Quite excellent.

Great write! And who cares whether we ever become famous or not? We write just because that's what we enjoy. We freely share our gifts with the world and hope that others enjoy them too.
