JoAnne inspired me with her Nile poems. This is one I'd written a couple of years ago. Thanks Dove!
Pharoahs sand in Eygpt land
where the Nile flows
and the Sphinx nods
at Pyramids
of the Ancient Tombs
whence came an Ill wind
blowing Sand across the Dunes
shapes shifting to confuse
the Ancient Lies
at the fertile River bed
the Delta of Civilization
crops of Olives & Dates
where the Nile ends
and flows into the Sea
Mediteranean
where waters once were Blue
where Ancient Mariners
cast their Sailing Vessels
to Navigate & Explore
what Lay beyond
their Fates in the hand of God
South lies the Sahara
where Camel caravans
traverse searching for an Oasis
OH MY GOSH CJ (Dale) Clark.......Love it! Love it! This was fabulous I felt like I was right there looking on the Mediterranean, watching sailing vessels, sand dunes, pyramids, the spinx and eating olives and dates I stand up and applaud you this was more then a poem - history down to a T. What a winner ! I need to go recuperate now
Stunning, Dale....I am so speechless...Yes I feel you are one of my lost brothers from that land..What do you think about that book I recommended " Bringers of the dawn"..After you read it, you'll know what all this is about..They keep coming to me from Atlantis and Egypt..Every time I turn around I feel Pleiadian connections..Could it be we are "Key holders" from the Pleiades???
