I was covering miles just thinking of the pulp I’ve read and wrote I was floating mindless over mountain and slopes I’ve walked and hiked I was fishing fruitless wishing for some luck I’ve wished and prayed I was finding truth in the funniest ways I laughed and choked I was writing thoughtless unaware of your feelings I was hard and cold I was thinking of ending this futile existence I was selfish and cruel I was sad and forlorn forgetting your love I’ve always been adored Life’s funny that way © 2003 CJ Clark All Rights Reserved

Profound and thought provoking, CJ. I agree. I sort of have different favourite stanzas so it's useless to put them in here when it's practically the whole poem ;) Good job!
