Big Sky Lonesome

Born under a big sky The high lonesome An endless horizon It captures the minds eye The Immensity of the land The wild & wooly uprising Mountains & meadows call to the wilderness The rolling valleys lead the soul�s wildness Rivers & lakes reflect the translucent souls The water flowing, roaring It wanders, rumbles, resonates The Immensity of the sky Passionate resplendence The endless miles two lane highways swallow The big lonesome where hearts & souls are free The high prairies rolling over arid shapes The sand stone bluffs longing for lovers embrace The high lonesome flows into the big sky Majestic mountain ranges fill the minds eye Ponderosa pines air clean and fine Craggy old townships for gamblers & miners Lonely souls come together for a dance with lady luck Not for the lonely hearted or feint of heart They�ve long departed houses of ill repute Big lonesome sky free spirits delight Hopeful hearts thrived where passion is strong hardened and survived a dusky hued delight Born under the big sky The high lonesome Where life is colorful and lovers� burn Big Sky Lonesome � 2003 CJ Clark All Rights Reserved

Dale..the imagery in this poem is incredible..what a talent you have..I sensed,saw,drove through the land becoming engrossed with its beauty...it reminded me so much of parts of Australia..ah I do miss Aussie ..
