Robert, thanks for your comment
because the more I read this I
realized there was something
I didn't like about it and even
the title I felt was wrong.
It's helpful critique that one
shouldn't take personal and I
don't. TY

Water ice cold
aqua blue
Lake in stillness
smooth as glass
A fish rises
A ripple creases
disturbing the peace

A mayfly hatch
entices our minds
We string our poles
tie flies to match
Cast into reflections
trees & mountains
evergreen & granite
snowy peaks
Shine on the water
air still & fresh

We get some strikes
hear a splash
A blue & silver flash
fish in stillness
Time stands motionless

We revel in deja’vu
look up at the blue
Crisp & clear as water
ice cold shivers

Earth in stillness
silence of nature
breathing the only sound
the living hear
Air like water
sky now golden
Sun rises
rays slanting
Glistening rainbows
into the blue aqua

Lake in stillness
hearts beating
drumming the only sound
The earth shall hear

A fish rises
A reel whirs
lines burn

Release these demons
to breath
to live
to be
hearts in stillness

Water ice cold
aqua blue
blue & silver flashes
A rise on glass
water moves
as smooth sheer
Beauty in motion
reflects a moment
when time stands -still

The still the surface the deeper the water...this is beautiful Dale.
I can see one of the Rocky Mountain Lakes that reflect the mountains peering back at me.

Robert, thanks for the review and I
wondered about that myself as I didn't
have those in on the first draft.
I appreciate your critique.
