alone again...
nothing new under the sun
everything lost at full moon
sails unfurl on seas of unrest
where do I begin...

with no stars that haven’t been
no sun which shines anew
not a soul to relate to
I’ve been here before
heading out for distant shores
mariners navigate the course
my thoughts are mangling me
how can I start...

this journey repeats itself
in my soul, in my heart
the destination matters not
nor does the north star
nor the angels who forgot
that I’m not that strong
alone again...

needing guidance
everything isn’t the same
except the crescent moon
and the clouds that cover
her face from my sight
how do I begin...

when my heart isn’t right
when my soul feels cold
and the sails have no wind
the ship flounders
in waters fraught with grief
sinking into oblivion
alone again...

I whisper aloud to an angel
who doesn’t hear
she doesn’t see
I feel abandoned without
any love...

so pity takes control
and I look out into the dark
and see no reflection
I feel pathetic
a ‘brilliant’ fool drowning
in the waters of his tears
I grieve...

for all the lost souls
nothing new under the sun
everything seems lost
the moon and stars
shine not in cloudy skies
with not an angel in sight
to illuminate the night
alone again...
