Just Past Midnight

Just past midnight
I lay awake without slumber
My stomach rumbles
My heart sputters
I no longer am young
yet I’m wired like a drum

Just past the witching hour
I wonder what spell has been spun
upon my tired old heart
is it love or lack of
I feel it though, the desire is there

Just past the middle of night
I lay awake dreamless
and think of yesterdays
I wonder what it was all for
if I can’t call out or utter one sound
The quiet is so very loud

Just past my peek
I see it all downhill now
and yet I’m incorrigibly romantic
even with a galloping heart beat
I don’t fear death but desertion
I fear not living without passion

Just past midnight

In the Whirlwind is a poetic storm that frees history from the cages of corruption and puts it in the hands of everyday people. Words are weaved into a new fashion statement that has nothing to do with runways but everything to do with projects!
