I couldn’t shake these blues...

I couldn’t shake these blues
they surround me
like the sea and sky
I thought I’d paid my dues

These nights and days
so long
without you I'm weak
I need to look upon you
Your beautiful face
into your eyes so bright
hear your voice once more
just to believe again

I couldn’t shake these blues
they cover me
like a veil hides your eyes
I thought your love was true

They haunt me so
knowing I could be wrong
These nights and days
so long
without you I weep

I couldn’t shake these blues...
