The Living Poem

The poet really shook them up
became their destinies
became their desires
became their breath
became their light
The poet was them

The poet trembled
wrote a poem that lived
it had a heart beat
its blood flowed blue
it lived and breathed
in their hearts and minds

This poet really had it now
the thoughts they expressed
their feelings of desires
their passions were defined
their hearts bleeding
onto the pages they read

The poet broke hearts
the muse whispered lines
knowing their deepest thoughts
knowing their deepest desires
knowing their deepest fears
describing the essence of their being

The poet spoke for them
laid it on the line
they had stepped on his heart
right on top of his soul
until the poets heart shattered
They tried to pick up the pieces

The poet really shook them up
with the living poem
as they lived and breathed
The poet bled lines
defining sorrow and joy
The living poem was born

You are as deep as you are brilliant...One of your very best Dale......Loved it.

The poet spoke for them
laid it on the line
they had stepped on his heart
right on top of his soul
until the poets heart shattered
They tried to pick up the pieces <- That bit...great, great work
