Still as Midnight
The darkness hides many,
while few are enlightened!
The inkwell is empty, dark
The pen is silent and still
Still as midnight,
she comes to me veiled
This dark night has power
of blue and black
These skies flash moments,
as the truths thunder
Still as midnight,
sorrow awaits her
These lonely souls, absurd
in search of love
She pushes the darkness away,
laughing in mockery
She mocks us ruthlessly
using our pain,
using our love
She expresses herself
as flash and chaos,
never to be loved
She never will know,
her enchantments
The lessons learned,
Still as midnight
These lovers lost, forever
in search of love
A poet should know
never lose or forget,
your pen and ink
She’ll never know the truth,
yet she is forgiven
upon the stained page
