No one knows what tomorrow will bring, we just have here and now and the joy it brings.
Amid tangled sheets, encased in musk's aroma, our bodies are at rest,
I listen to your rapid heartbeat, my head upon your chest.
Moments ago, frenized bodies were in motion,
Passion diciating the movements, a firestorm of emotion.
Lust was the cheerleader, urging us on, demanding victory,
Hail the conquering champions, Hail to you and me!
We achieved the, " Little Death", with deep devotion,
You were the tidal wave, that graced my ocean.
Desire was the hungry lion, our bodies it did devour,
It gleaned stamina and it's reward was power.
The heat was so intense, there was fear we'd burst into flame,
Ignited by hunger, need and want, too wild to tame.
Secretly I wonder, if passion's candle will burn out,
Leaving just a whimper, instead of victory's shout!
I keep these thoughts, silent as a tomb,
I push them far away, but upon the horizon they always loom.
Today our bodies blend, tomorrow might bring doubt,
For passion so intense, it's flame might go out.
As I gaze into your eyes, licking the sweat from your lips,
I revel in the sensations, caused by your stroking fingertips.
As your body starts to consume mine, I whisper," Come what may!"
Tomorrow comes with no guarantees, but we own today!
