My best friend is madly in love with a player, should I tell her and chance losin my friend?
She says his name and then she sighs,
He keeps her eyes dreamy, by tellin her lies.
While she aint lookin , the dawg strays,
He hits anything with a heartbeat, he loves to play.
Her perfect romance, aint nothing but a lie!
But she floats on air, because of this guy.
She tells me everything, I am her best friend,
I pray she wakes up and this farce will end.
Should I tell her, do I have the right?
To destroy a love so perfect in her sight?
When he looks at me, he wears a smirk,
I grit my teeth, I wanna kill that jerk!
She says if he should leave, she'd surly die,
I try to comfort her as she cries.
Should I tell and risk losin my friend?
We have been there for each other through thick and thin.
She has never been in love this much before,
She can usually realize a jerk and shows him the door.
I am torn, but decide to let it play,
Be there to pick up the pieces when the jerk goes away.
Oh my, I've been in situations like this before with family members. Assuming it would be very similar with a best friend. And it seems they have to come to the same conclusions on their own and will resist what others bring to their attention, though caring for them might prompt you to warn them. And why not, you don't want to see someone you care for hurt. In the end, whether they listen or not a true friend is by their side. Wonderfully presented here! LOve ya ~yourDreamyGal

p.a, This piece here, such a sad situation in regards to whether or not your friend should know, but the right thing to do in my lil opinion,I think that it wouldnt make a difference, she'll love em anyway, loved the way you presented this piece, written in such essence!

A difficult decision to make. If you tell her, she won't believe you anyway AND she will be angry with you. Better to be there when she needs you and to support her when he leaves. Very good write, PA. The rhyming flowed so well. Lydi**
It's a tricky 1, I guess you have to go with your instincts after weighing up all the facts. Personally I'd rather be told. This poem captures the dilemma artfully. Goodluck & thanks for sharing.
