I Forgot To Forget You

We have parted and on good days I do well, but today I forgot to forget you!

Today I forgot to forget you,
My mood was somber blue.
I walked around in a zombie state,
I had no smile, I was quite sedate.
My throughts were of you continually,
You spent the whole day with me.
Our song played in my head,
I heard your voice and remembered things that you had said.
My body still aches for your caress,
Nothing can fill the emptiness.
Over the desire for you, I have no control,
You are the restless spirit that haunts my soul.
To just be able to touch you and feel your kiss,
To be wrapped in your arms, would be such bliss.
I hope you have found a new love that is true ,
Although it would break my heart, I still want the best for you.
I can't have you, it was just not meant to be,
You will love some lucky woman, but it won't be me.
You were like a beautiful wishing star,
You were out of reach, just too far.
Tomorrow will be better, I will start anew,
But today, I forgot to forget you!

Sometimes we forget that we drag a shadow after us, we should put a strong light on our life to make the shadow disappear under our feet.
Yes, exquisite.

SC you do have way to sweeten up the cold hard truth of life.
I guess all these broken hearts is what keeps the world spinning.

SC, this is one of your very best, the title and catch phrase grab the readers attention and the body of the write tell a story that we all have felt at one time or another. Although I love your sensual writings this is special.

SC this was just beautiful, I hope the message gets delivered. I know you don't like to show that vulnerable side much, but I kinda like it.
