When you are hurt by a beloved friend, how does a poet deal, they write out their pain
You professed your love and loyalty.
But you have embraced the viper that wounded me.
Your public display was a stab to my heart,
I must now poof for awhile, silently depart.
We've had each other's backs through thick and thin,
We have trusted each other and called each other friend.
When I told you of my plight, you said you understood,
That the viper was two-faced and up to no good.

Leading me to believe that you would stay at my side.
Is the viper's friendship worth more then mine?

somebody must have really wronged your precious heart,
so you are saying that a friend has wronged you
by embracing someone who has caused you pain,
you write matter os the heart, like an artist would
sculpt the clay of expression, you create works of
art, hope this is your muse, truly, because it
aches me to see emotions in such a state of betrayel

Well written SC - we all need time to lick our wounds - tho' it's quicker, perhaps more healthy and more satisfying sometimes, to suck the poison out and SPIT! SPIT IT, rinse out with spirit, a STRONG one, refill the glass, add ice, and sit back and sup, relax,and when the glass is empty WATCH OUT! HERE SHE COMES :D Nicky x

We are lucky to ever have one true

Oh SC,sometimes people do stupid things without hurtfull intent,I hope that is the case here,friends talk things out,or at least try to .As a writer you have shared your pain for all to see and feel.
