My Darling, you whispered forever, but now you have left me and I beg for your return
I am a castaway marooned on the sands of regret,
As the restless surf washes in and out, I just can't forget.
Once we were a loving couple, walking in the sand,
Two sets of footprints, a woman's and a man's.
Return to me, is my desperate cry,
It is echoed back by seagulls, that circle and fly.
My lonely tears fall into the restless sea,
My eyes search the horizon, praying that you will return to me.
Return to me! Why did you go?
How could you leave the one who loves you so?
I gave you my all, the very essence of me,
How could you say that we weren't meant to be!
My eyes continually weep and my broken heart pines,
Was it all an allusion, were you ever really mine?
You cast me away like a skipping stone,
With your uncaring hands, I was cruelly thrown.
My body betrays me for it aches and remembers,
Out bodies entwined, two glowing embers.
Return to me!, or in the sea of regret
I will drown.
I will not fight the undertow as it drags me down!
What is left to imagine - Only that from which is clear - Uneven balance of desire always leaves a tear -{warmth -love * Ted}

Jen, this is so poignant and sad, the broken heart dejection feeling is one of the hardest things on earth to understand and recover from. You captured the pain so strikingly in this write. Big hugs from strong arms to say hope all is well.
