Will You Love Me Tomorrow?

Your feelings for me seem to change directions like the wind.

Today you whispered," I love you !", in my ear,
But tomorrow your feelings will change, I fear.
We are only sure of today, we are not promised tomorrow,
Today, right now ! There is no time to borrow !
Your feelings for me change course like the wind,
Here today, but tomorrow, gone again !
Time, like sand, runs swiftly through life's hourglass,
Hearts that are ablaze today, tomorrow might burn out fast.
Shall we savor today and forget about tomorrow?
Just live for the moment and risk impending sorrow?
Today's pleasure may turn into tomorrow's pain,
Fears and doubts, drive a dreamer's mind insane !
I am always in limbo, caught in the eye of your hurricane,
Uneasy stillness, a quiet before the storm , where everything blows away, nothing remains!
Spinning, always spinning, so high above the ground,
I feel the need to runaway and hide, where I can't be found.
But my love for you holds me fast,
It holds me prisoner, the die has been cast.
Feeling loved today, keeps me blind to furture sorrow,
You whisper love now, but will you love me tomorrow?

By your writing it sounds like a very unstable, rocky romance. Maybe just a little more thought needs to be invoked for love is meant to be timeless and forever lasting, not fleeting. Expressions come alive in this piece, along with the hidden doubts. Great writing...

Be safe,
Karen

Love is more than hugging and kissing. Love is lusting for body and soul with dedication and committment. Love is knowing that you are and will be forever together. To be loved is to know with certainty that you will be loved tomorrow. To love and to be loved in return with equal measure is a gift from God.

Your lovely poem expresses an eternal question. Bring your friends to my den site and read about a forever love.

Your den site is a wonderful place to linger and enjoy!

"...feeling love today keeps me blind to future sorrows..." and it shouln't be that, freedom and abandon will be the question to a whisper of love, the answer: I will love you forever...
