Loving A Shadow Woman

A Shadow Girl grows up to be a Shadow Woman, it takes a special kind of man to love her.

She sits by his side, but isn't really there,
This mystery he has chosen to love, has a blank stare.
Where does she go, when she mentally leaves his side?
Her eyes reflect turbalence and pain she can't hide.
He wonders what to do, as he hovers near,
Shall he gather her close or just sit here?
She is a complex entity, he has chosen to adore,
When she is his lover, she completes him, he needs nothing more.
But her deafening silence hurts him to the core.
Her passion is overwhelming, when she drinks him in,
Her body swallows him whole, whenever they blend.
Sometimes she is like a wounded dove,
Snuggling near and begging for the warmth of his love.
At these times she is his hepless little girl,
Needing his protection, he is the guardian of her world,
Other times she becomes invisible, a wisp of smoke,
Then he reels from the pain that the separation evokes.
He realizes that she can't help it, she is a prisoner, held hostage from her past,
Soon she will return to him, these separations don't last.
When silence shrouds her, she becomes lost in solitude,
Then she must dwell alone, for somber is her mood.
These are the times he must respect her aloneness, but stay close at hand,
To love a Shadow Woman, you must be a strong and understanding man.

You draw a picture with your words...and the music is already there...in more ways than one!
Great write SC...I can feel the frustrations on both sides of this...
The pen does you well...:)

Whew! The love of a strong and understanding man finds the radiance of a woman's shadow. This is what every woman wants.

I've been the shadow man SC and sometimes
a person must seek their space, for it is
theres only. Yet to have someone respect
that and to wait for you, now that's somebody!

Another intensely emotional poem, Sissy. It's sad there aren't that many who know how to deal with Shadow People.
Love and huggs,

Very solid advice and not only Shadow Women need space but also Shadow Men...when we love it is often hard to know when to back off and give our partners space. Great write SC and great advice.

In the darkest corner of the castle ruins the shadow woman should melt and become invisible when the black void wrappes her on his arms and they go away forever travelling the abyss.
