Yesterday's Passion

As I sit amid the rubble of my destroyed dreams, I am dazed and confused and wondering what went wrong.

Yesterday's Passion, fueled by yesterday's dreams,
Makes todays sad life fall apart at the seams.
I once beheld your face and my heart skipped a beat,
Now I just feel sadness as my passion hides in defeat.
Where is the warmth that once lit my passion's fire?
Now my emotions are frozen in time, coldness has killed the desire.
Two sad souls, that have lost the safety of home,
Hearts going in different directions, wishing to flee and roam.
Promised love of once upon a time,
Now falls prey to out of sight and out of mind.
Could our love have survived lives that had to be rearranged?
Could it have bloomed within the change?
My yesterday's passion, still has some glowing embers,
There is still some warmth left and my heart remembers.

We can only change ourselves. No one else can change regardless of how hard we try to change them. While it is sad when two people who once shared love drift apart, in the end, it is you who decides what to do with the glowing embers.

I wish you all the best.

"My yesterday's passion, still has some glowing embers,"
Sadly, everyone's hindsight is always 20-15...the trick is to not let the looking back at the embers burn your hind....

Contemplating and dreaming of the "what could have been" is so very devastating at times. Always set your sights on the future and trust that God will show the way.....

Be safe,

SC, It's lovely to look back at a passionate time with a lover, but life is now, not in the past, let it stay where it is, past and move onto someone more deserving of this passion..You are worth it, and you deserve to have a beautiful love in your life.
Peace, Love, and Light,

This sad but hopeful yearning I think is one many who love over a long period and find the years running out feel. We cannot control anothers passion no more than we can control the weather...we can only hope for the sunshine, live with the rain and try and survive the storms. Well done dear.
