Sometimes when life turns mean, my spirit will slip away to a sweeter place to dwell.
Amid your angey verbal attacks, I just sit mute with nothing to say,
My spirit flys to him and I just slip away.
While the loudness of your voice drones on, a fantasy is at play,
My body remains here, but my spirit has slipped away.
My spirit is safe within his loving arms,
Far away from the cruel words that harm.
I know I must look like one in a trance,
Truly demented, if someone would take a glance.
But my spirit is in a truly peaceful place,
I am with my true love and he is gently caressing my face.
You say that nothing about me pleases you,
I am as common to you as some old worn out shoes.
Though you have put away your passion for me, I still need,
My passion's fire is slowly dying, it has no fuel on which to feed.
I am sorry I have evolved into a woman, you hate,
You say the woman I am now is not your choice of a mate.
So when I get too sad here and life just plays,
I hear his gentle call and my spirit just slips away.

Oh Sissy! He can't see your beauty, he isn't worthy of you! Do slip away for real! I guarantee when you go, he will wonder what happened! Don't let him hurt you anymore! You are worth more than he will ever be worthy of. He puts you down to build himself up. Get rid of him. You will regain your life! I have a place you can stay.

Slipping away could be fine when you do it physically to get out of danger. But when you slip away within yourself you damage yourself. Build some courage to change your life. Thanks

SC, please walk away from all this pain. Just go out the door..Nothing is worth it, your sanity and health are more important. It is a great mechanism to be able to slip away, but it isn't a cure.
