I have alway been told that I write SAD so well, so for my my readers that like me encased in blue, this is for you with love! SC
I am a broken-hearted melody, a truly sad song,
My nights are cold and lonely, each an eternity long.
As I peer out of my window, I realize that the world is fast asleep,
My solitude clings like a blue shroud and I finally weep.
He had entered my life with a hurricane force,
He wooed me ardently and threw my senses off course.
" He is not for you, he will never settle down", my warning from a friend,
I just flipped my hair saying," You'll see, I will saddle the wind!".
He was a sweet lover, who cast a sweet spell,
I was teetering on the brink of disaster, and tragically fell.
I never had time to exhale during this mad affair,
I just bought what he sold me, stupidly, without a care.
He soon tired of this so-called mating game,
He disappeared, leaving me broken and lame.
Memories now haunt me, I am tormented by hind sight,
Now I again walk in the shadows and curse the night.
Tragic that this love ended and how it leaves you feeling so empty. The music you chose has a feeling of picking up and moving 'on.' Yet, there is a sadness in the melody. Me, I'll focus on the picking up and moving on!

what can be easily measured in the light
but awaken from slumber out in the rain
and erase from your heart each ounce of pain
Blue is a color like any other in the palette of life and yet it is often used quite a bit in songs dealing with pain...such as the "Blues", etc. Fortunately there are many more shades such as aqua, royal and navy blues that also describe the Beauty of the heart and soul of an artist.
