Too Much Woman

You are now just a puzzling, bad memory, something I regret and will soon forget.

Regret lays heavy on my heart,
I can see you clearly now and am so glad that we are apart.
I tried to create a dream man out of a troubled child,
I now realize it was so hopeless, failure and I now reconcile.
I was just too much woman for so little a man,
The blame is not mine, I now understand.
I never really loved you, just my created fantasy,
My built up hero in you was never real, I now see.
I don't miss you, just my created dream,
You were just playing a part, not really what you seemed.
When my eyes beheld the reality, my heart cried,
You were cold and indifferent and full of lies.
Your whispered love had vanished, replaced by childish whines,
Who were you really? No dream man, I could find.
You are now nothing to me,
Just an embarrassing memory.
I now can't figure out how you caused a heart reaction,
I guess you will always be a mystery and my fatal attracrion.
You were an odyssey, a trip to nowhere, I now understand,
I was just too much woman for so little man.

Well yes, and many times that is the threshhold. When one cannot keep up with the other it just cannot work. I sure keep Robert on his tippy toes and sometimes make him just crazy, but he is good because he never gives up. He may trail behind, but he never gives up. No sir, this one is a keeper.....

Be safe,
Karen

It is funny how our minds...rabid with desire and need, can make ordiary men or women into Goddesses when we first fall in love. We can be blinded to all their faults and forgive all their indescretions for just one sweet night of passion between the sheets of love.

Your word usage is exquisite my friend. It's always best to keep the door locked when the devil comes a knockin. Peace, Love and Blessings to You Always, Paul.

The feeling one has of having created a dream around someone who was not fit for the role is well expressed. "a dream man out of a troubled child" speaks to me.
