Once upon a time love called our name,
For a brief moment our worlds crossed and our orbit was the same.
We shared giggles, whispers and endless pillow talk,
Until it all fell apart and we decided to walk.
Do you ever wonder what went so wrong,
To silence blended voices, that have been quiet for so long.
In your wildest dreams, do you ever think of me?
Remembering our childish faith that we were meant to be.
Confusion just led us to sorrow,
Sighs passed our lips, for there would be no tomorrow.
We now travel different paths, that take us father away,
From the time and place where we use to play.
I now look upon us as a losing team,
Who was briefly joined, in our wildest dreams.

People come together and through life choices sometimes drift apart, each to follow their own dreams and desires, such a truthful, passionate write as you always do.....

Be always safe,

Love never ends if there wasn't love to begin with.
Love is never lost if you didn't have it or been giving it.
Love should be like a cobra bite, to take over your life and stay there, otherways, that's not love, just an iniquitous lust bite.

I too lost 1st husband's love only to have Tom come into my life for too short 17 years. We don't know why love ends but for him it did, i was ill and he did not stand by me after 4 daughters. Tom stood by me til the day he died and I am fortunate to have that remembrance. We never forget our former ones either, so I forgive my 1st husband for the divorce and all. Need to forgive.

S.C.,

I love the poem. Time passes so quickly. Promises made way back when were never ours to make. The spur of the moment can never make up for the real thing. What we thought we had are only memories. Some good and some bad. Peace, Love and Blessings Always, Paul.
