Crystal tears fall from sad, clouded eyes,
No more joy to be found in a lover's sunrise.
Days melt into on going misery,
Pain is the only companion now here for me.
I resolve my body to get up and move on,
But that resolve does not last long.
A sigh ago, forever was a place and time,
Now it just exists in the lonely canyons of my mind.
What a difference a day can make,
Suddenly love's safety is traded for heartache.
A walk in love's golden sunshine, was quickly changed,
Into rain-soaked disappointment, that fate had arranged.
My trusting heart was rewarded with lies and pain,
Left alone, shivering and crying in the cold, loveless rain.
What is forever for anyway?
Just to breath life into hope and then snatch it away.
The path of lies and trickery, is where forever plays,
If followed, it will lead you to where
love and dreams go to rot and decay.
I agree with Felix, the pain feels like forever but it does end if you face it and make plans in your life to move past it. Give yourself time to heal, because the sun always shines again
The reality of love and life dear friend that they can lead or mislead us on so many different paths. All we can do is when led down a rocky or barren path, stand tall, turn about and walk back to the spot where we went astray and let our heart take us on a new journey.
