His gentle blue eyes glisten, with unshed tears,
The tears remain from the pain of past years.
He has always found love to be a neverending quest,
He has no loving arms to hold him, or grant him sweet rest.
Once his heart was open, without protective bars,
Then love was cruel, elusive, leaving deep scars.
Sir Thomas shed many tears, causing his armor to rust,
He became leery of love and just couldn't trust.
He is a passionate man, who shares his body, but not his heart,
If a woman demands more, he soon will depart.
He writes sweet love verse, to hornor love he can't feel,
So beautiful on paper, but for him it isn't real.
He needs to hear true love words, whispered from a woman's lips,
To experience gentle caresses from gentle fingertips.
He needs to be held in a woman's soft embrace,
To see the glow of love for him, shine on a woman's face.
Who will step forth and love this Gentle Knight?
Who will bring him fourth from the darkness into the light.
