Many are quilty of judging an abused wife, but they are victims of loving an unworthy man, put youself in their shoes, feel their pain.
Why do Doves marry Demons? Doves try to find goodness in all,
A caring heart makes them easy prey, while Demons wait for them to fall.
Demons take these gentle souls and give them lives of Hell,
They beat them and out of shame the Dove doesn't tell.
Doves silently take the abuse and all the blame,
People are quick to judge them, they live with failure and shame.
It is not your fault, wounded Dove, escape, take to the safety of the sky,
The Demon will never change, so fly, sweet Dove fly!
No one has the right to treat you like dirt!
Love is uplifting and love doesn't hurt!
In my AD posted poem "And lead us not..." I present a pastiche from my novel "The Paradise of Revenge," the story of devout young Josefina Camarillo, an innocent Dove.
In my AD posted short story, "Crooked Woman Fool," I demonstrate the lesson learned of a young Winnebago Native American woman.
As with the nature of evil, Demons are everywhere. Fortunately for us all, there is balance: We are never alone. God is everywhere! His love is never farther away than a prayer.
SC, your writing always is deep and meaningful. You are a true literary treasure!
This brought a pain to my heart: I've been there. Three years of abuse, ten years of depression after-shock. It's so true, no one knows hwta it's really like, unless you walk in those shoes. I know what Hell is. I've been there with the Demon.

Heartbreaking...you did a wonderful job with this, love Holly
SC,
Your message rings true, all too true unfortunately, and I have two friends who've been through what you describe so your write touches me deeply. Thank you for this.
John
As one that escaped from such as this, I can relate to your writing here. When I left I lost many "friends" becasuse he was such a great actor that they thought my fault. That bothered me for awhile but then I realizsed that they weren't really my friends. Fly away!! yes it was the best thing I ever did.

Kathy

SC I have seen this too often and they begin to believe they must have done something to cause this abuse and because of it don't want to turn to anyone. You are right love doesn't hurt, so if you hurt it can't be love, WALK please RUN and know there is always someone to turn to always someone there to help. Thank you SC for this heartbreaking write.
You are so right on this aspect of abuse, all too often they are accused of wanting it because they are afraid or unable for various reasons to leave. We should all be more compassionate and understanding until we have walked a mile in their shoes.
“Being a couple yet free is our next challenge on the evolutionary ladder. This book successfully helps us unravel the myths that block that achievement. It does it with warmth, with readability, and with balance. It recreates everyday problems and
