Poem from the book "Lost in a Tavern" by Liana Marie. Excerpt from Chapter 3, Lost Love in "Lost in a Tavern".
From Chapter 3, Lost Love in "Lost in a Tavern":
My World of Make Believe
I’m living in my World of Make Believe.
I know my World of Make Believe will die.
It crumbles to the ground, but no one sees,
And no one hears me; no one knows I cry.
It is my World inside my heart I’ve made.
The walls are tall and strong, but they won’t last.
The Real World shakes beneath the bricks I’ve laid.
Reality won’t let my World hold fast.
Its realms are filled with colors clear and bright.
But the Real World makes me see the truth I fear;
Destroying all that seemed so right
And killing all that I had made so dear.
Away, away, please let me run away...
To save my World of Make Believe and stay.
I can completely relate to the sentiments that you express via your verses here, Liana Marie. Oddly, I am currently in the process of writing a "poem" about the walls of the world. Thank you. Love and best wishes,

Well, indeed we are what we think, so if you want to believe in your paradigm, so be it. Rather like Bastian in the Never ending story...
