How could the Gods be so cruel?
A hundred men walk the street.
A dozen fall before my feet...
But all that I want
And all that I see
Is you and the love that can not be…
Why is my every wish of you?
I’ll surely never know,
But I’ll wish my every wish
That this love could be so.
My every wish is of you and a love so true ,
But my every wish falls on ears so deaf
On eyes so blind and a heart so cold
That I fear alone I will grow old.
How could the Gods be so cruel
To make me fall in love with you?
This is a beautiful poem,it's like telling a story strait from the heart of love! I believe that every one has a story to tell aboout his or her every wish... but I do appreciate your work.
Beautiful work, though so very sad. I am sorry you are going through it. I can tell you this for a fact- it did not work out for a REASON. You do not get a vote, and you may not like it- but things go just like they are supposed to. I wish you healing, peace and love.
Intense questions for they have been thought of by so many since Adam first laid with Eve but your lovely way of asking though filled with sadness is also somthing beutiful in the way you have presented it...close to home for all.
