Mothers, you are our back bone,

You are our closest teachers and friends,

With your milk you filled us with love

You dedicated us to a sane, simple, limpid life

You played an important, determining role,

You formed our character and our health

You knew to teach us respect for our fathers,

For the elderly and for the neighbors.

You have softened our juvenile impulses

You taught us to be generous and forgiving

You taught us since our early age    

The real sense of “Love” and “Charity”

You told us that only feelings and actions count

All higher education will not yield any result

If it does not succeed in transmitting this wisdom

Were we aware of the far reach of these words?
