Interpretation of an Arab Proverb
The Misunderstanding Everyone talks in his own way No one understands what they say Everyone carries on his back Worries, pain, in his heavy pack The most important seems to be living his life With his dream, for which he strives Counting solely on his thought and math To the point of gradually losing his path Only then is he realizing with shame His shortcomings, and no one to blame Talking to one who does not understand Is wasting your time and shortening your life

Yet...I always appreciate when my children finally reach that point of realizing their shortcomings and accepting the fact that no one else is to blame. Sadly, there are too many adults in this life who never got/get to that point...

This poem rather complements the phrase "No one ever really knows another person." We can't possibly know what's in their heart and mind, nor the feelings that fuel all they do; therefore, to judge them is to label our own misunderstandning.

Love this write. The first thing that comes to mind when reading this is "don't throw your pearl before swine". Like "talking to someone who does not understand". Thank you for sharing.

Sometimes one does encounter not more deaf than those that don't want to hear. Understanding or misunderstanding are one hundred percent foreign to the.
