My Second Prayer

Oh You the One, who is in our hearts and in the entire universe,
Bless those who are no longer in our visible world
And those who struggle to find You in their everyday lives.

I thank You for every food and beverage that we have, every day,
May it sustain our health and turn in wise resolve on our way
I also thank You in the name of those who don’t know how to pray.

Bless those who have lost their way, and those who struggle to find it
Give them the will and the endurance not to give up until they find You

We are in a period of confusion in the most powerful country on earth.
Forgive the leaders their mistakes and enlighten them on their path
For the immediate future and for the coming years.

For those who struggle, sweeten and soften their heart
So that they may conduct their lives fairly, and with love.
Stand by those who are challenged, trying to carry the burden
And the responsibilities of their daily lives

Enlighten the hearts of all the people of the world,
As they are all Your children
So that they may clearly see
That human dignity must always be preserved.

Let friendship bring them together and not enmity keep them apart.
Unite those who are yearning for love and cannot find each other
Give wings to those who are ready so that they may help their brothers.

Allow caring writers to share their heart
With those who need warmth and encouragement.
Bring healing to those who need it. Keep us all in good health.

Please  turn away from us any negative thoughts or actions
Fill our hearts with Your Holy Stream and Joy!  Amen.
You, of whom it is said that You will remain with us until the end of time.
