"Tell Me Your Secrets, Twisted Ancient Tree"

by Amber Moonstone

1/03/06

A stroll down a cobblestone walk,
to touch and just to talk.

Began this curiosity of mine
in this search to find

what I was being drawn to see
from that twisted ancient tree

It called to me to come here,
so I ventured without fear.

I was drawn to its magnificent trunk
and became intoxicatingly drunk
with the fervor to find its energy
to feel its vibrational imagery.

I was in a trance while touching it's bark
to be brought to a place to embark
on a journey of wonderment and knowledge.

of what this tree
was saying to me.

It had many visual secrets,
Turning this into a quest with no regrets

I shall find the answer to that tree
then I will know why it was drawn to me.

I felt its whisper in my ear,
As I got ever so near.
It was telling me to come close,
so that I would get a dose
of this magnificent twisted ancient tree
on that New Year's Eve.

Author's Notes: In the town of Old Williamsburg, VA lives an ancient twisted tree. I was drawn to its energy while walking along a cobblestone path with my love. I couldn't help myself. It was a magnetic pull for me to go and touch that tree. I am still in a daze trying to connect with its energy.

An amazing day for me, one that I will never forget.
Peace, love, light and nature's energy,
Amber Moonstone

I' look at the tree my sweets, and I said " OMG, that is beautiful, as I let my eyes take in the view of the spindly details of the thick trunk, then I looked down, thought I saw my name, and smiled. Now I am heading back up to read it! I am touched! DEEPLY (god I love trees! their such a facination to me, I even bought the fantasy book on trees and have my own glass tree man hanging in our BACK window, across from the tall 40ft. pines lining our backyard, I will get a pict. in. I have to go read now-
New Years EVE, huh,

Love ya' Amber-Viv- AWESOME in it's eloquence! I feel blessed! That tree is BEAUTIFUL! I'm sending out my tree poems too~ Mystified they are, Mystified they be- Till we tear them down, then we DON't SEE, as tears start welling up inside of me! I am serious - I am crying for their soul, I think you just spurred my muse on, I was about to go into the shower, butttttttt..

These ancient trees hold power and mystery.
I loved this and it made me think of the
big oak that was in the Alamo in San Antonio
I heard they moved it, but not sure where.
